Judge decides that Goose Rocks Beach shall remain open to the Public!

Justice Brennon ruled in favor of the Public and Backlot owners for continued use of the entire beach.   The Town, State and Back Lot owners have proven that the beach has been used in its entirety for recreational activities for over 100 years.

There is currently in place a Settlement Agreement that was reached prior to the Judges decision.  This Settlement Agreement allows the non-plantiff beachfront owners a 25′ buffer at low tide and a 10′ buffer at high tide for personal use.  If you are on the beach and an oceanfront owner requests that you move as to allow them use of their buffer it is required that you abide by that request.  I suspect this will be unlikely in most cases.
